A good example of a full automaton walking cane, in good working condition - the handle is carved from ivory as a mallard duck's head, with inset brown glass eyes; depressing the small button at the rear of the plain silver collar makes the lower jaw of the duck's beak drop down, revealing a red tongue! - the handle is fitted to a dark brown hardwood shaft finished with a polished brass and steel ferrule
