A fine example of an 18th century gold-topped walking cane - with an elegant, reeded, knop-shaped handle with a monogrammed top and rope-edged bottom - the rim of the handle is stamped twice with a maker's mark for "JJL" - the tall, mid-brown malacca shaft has an engraved gold eyelet for a cord and is finished with a typical long brass ferrule
