An early English Folk Art cane, made from boxwood of a rich patina, richly carved overall with multiple themes - the handle formed as the head of a warrior, his hat decorated with lead stud decoration around the rim - the shaft carved overall with gargoyle heads, a serpent rsing and branch and floral motifs - the writing carved into the cane reads 'VIVANT VICTORIA. LIBERTY & CONCORI. INDUSTRY. FRIENDSHIP LOVE & TRUTH. RBUGDEN FECIT. TYRANY [sic]. BIGOTRY. HYPOCRISY.'
