A Caucasian miquelet locked pistol - the steel barrel partly chiselled and inlaid with goldwork at the breech and muzzle, maker’s mark on breech, the barrel with three large bands and fore cap of thick silver with partly gilt niello, with no fitting for a ramrod - the mechanism with thick gold inlays overall and Islamic script on the frizzen spring, and a steel button trigger - the fruitwood stock partly overlaid with thick silver with partly gilt nielio, including the ball butt with a loop for a carrying cord
