A good example of an English folk art penwork walking cane - the handle made of polished horn with an inset mother-of-pearl disc in the top - the shaft worked overall with decorative inscriptions and animal scenes, including bird, fish, horses, a house and a windmill, and further worked with the names "CHALES + HAZELL" [sic] and "JOHN + COLLINES" [sic] and the date "JULY 13 1858" - the cane finished with a black horn ferrule
