A fine French silver-gilt cane handle of bold design, retailed by G. Retrou, Paris - the handle of tapering form, applied overall with a selection of cabochon amethysts and citrines of purple and gold colours - in fine condition, the handle unscrews from the black ebonised hardwood shaft to fit within a purpose-made case, signed with the retailer's name - the ebonised shaft is finished with a 3.5cm brass and iron tipped ferrule
