A very unusual Victorian silk-lined "basket" formed from pinecones, nuts and seed pods - the nuts artfully arranged to form a handled receptacle on raised feet, which most likely served as a centrepiece for a Victorian “maximalist” interior - displayed under a large glass dome with a turned ebonised hardwood base.
